The reason why dating a Miss Korea contestant is not easy at all
The entertainment program “Dear My First Love” in which the cast members summon their first loves is currently a hot topic!
In the recently released first episode of the entertainment program “Dear My First Love”, a male case named Kang Han-byul drew the viewers’ attention as he summoned a woman who is a former Miss Korea as his first love. Here is their story.
When his first love appeared at the promised place, Kang Han-byul greeted her, saying “Long time no see”. The woman, who didn’t know that she was Kang Han-byul’s first love, exclaimed “So, it’s you who summoned me here”. The two kept smiling because of the awkward atmosphere.
The name of Kang Han-byul’s first love was then revealed to be Jung Yeon-joo. Regarding her feelings when she was called out as Kang Han-byul’s first love, Jung Yeon-joo said, “I didn’t expect that. I was like ‘I’m his first love? Why?’.” It was because, in Yeon-joo’s memory, Han-byul is someone she felt sorry for.
Kang Han-byul shared, “An acquaintance introduced her (Yeon-joo) to me”, adding “Yeon-joo was the first person I agreed to meet because I really liked her. I also regret that I couldn’t show her everything about myself. That’s why I have always wanted to meet her again.”
The two began their conversation by recalling how they looked in the past and complimenting their current appearance. As Jung Yeon-joo complimented, “Oppa, you still look handsome when you smile…. Oh, no, you were already handsome back then”, the two laughed so hard. The atmosphere went silent again. “I suddenly forgot what I wanted to say as soon as I met her”, “I can’t remember anything. Should I start the conversation?”, they shared.
Later, Kang Han-byul suddenly asked, “Did you like me back then?”. Jung Yeon-joo replied, “I did. That’s why I came here to meet you.”
Kang Han-byul continued, “You dumped me when we were dating”. In response, Jung Yeon-joo said, “Honestly… Can I tell the truth?”, adding, “I broke up with you because of Miss Korea. After breaking up with you, I focused on preparing for Miss Korea and that’s how I made it”.
Kang Han-byul shared, “When we were dating, Yeon-joo was preparing to compete in Miss Korea so she was busy all day. After she finished her practice, we had too little time left in the day to meet each other.”
Jung Yeon-joo also told her story. She said, “When I was preparing for Miss Korea, I had too many things to focus on. I felt like I kept annoying him and making him feel sorry”, adding
I did try to meet him many times but it seems like he didn’t realize my feelings.”
Upon hearing her confession, Kang Han-byul said, “Now that I’m able to meet you again like this, it seems like my appearance is a little important in your life?”. Jung Yeon-joo replied, “You helped me a lot”.
