Cha Eun-woo Shed Tears Upon Mentioning Late Member Moonbin, “Please Don’t Forget Him”
Singer-actor Cha Eun-woo expressed his longing for the late ASTRO member Moonbin, who suddenly passed a way last year
On May 8th, tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block (You Quiz)” released a new episode featuring the guest appearance of Cha Eun-woo.
In the video, Cha Eun-woo said, “My dreams were to become a teacher or a professor or a doctor”. Hearing that, Yoo Jae-suk confidently said, “Whether you were a doctor or a teacher, I believe you would still appear on ‘You Quiz’”. In response, Cha Eun-woo agreed and laughed pleasantly. He then quickly acted like a teacher and a doctor, showing his sense of entertainment through a witty introduction.
When Cha Eun-woo said he looked like his father more than his mother, Jo Se-ho commented, “I met Cha Eun-woo’s family at a BBQ restaurant before, and his parents were both very handsome and beautiful”.
Looking back on his career since his debut with ASTRO in 2016, Cha Eun-woo said, “I received a lot of compliments at school but I couldn’t do anything well during my trainee days and lost my confidence”, adding “What I learned during my 3.5 years as a trainee was patience. All the members are very nice and good, so we overcame it all with our close relationship and bond”.
Later, Cha Eun-woo cautiously mentioned the passing of the late member Moonbin, who was like family to him, saying, “Last year was a really tough year for me”. Revealing that he wrote the lyrics for “WHERE AM I” to express his feelings for Moonbin, the male idol confessed, “People forget things easily. That’s so upset. I thought about a meaningful way to remember Bin and decided to write the lyrics”.
Recalling the painful experience, he shed tears and continued, “I cried a lot while working on the song. I can’t even sing the song now. I felt so guilty. I wondered if it was okay for me to eat well and sleep well”, adding “I thought about whether I should carry that burden for the rest of my life. I should live a good life for Bin’s part too. I felt like I needed to get a hold of myself so that my surroundings wouldn’t collapse”.
Lastly, Cha Eun-woo sent a video letter to his late friend Moonbin, saying “Bin ah, how are you doing? I miss you so much. I’ll do whatever I can for you. Don’t worry and see you again”.
