Forbes interviews Lee Jun Ho, “I’ve known Im Yoon Ah for 15 years but our chemistry when acting is different”

Lee Jun Ho met with the US magazine Forbes and shared various stories about his ongoing drama “King the Land”.

On July 29th (local time), Forbes released the interview they had with singer-actor Lee Jun Ho, who is playing the main character in JTBC’s Sat-Sun drama “King the Land”.

Lee Jun Ho talked about his chemistry with Im Yoon Ah, who appears in the drama as Cheon Sa Rang, the girlfriend of his character Goo Won. The biggest common thing between the two is that both are members of idol groups. Regarding their long-time friendship, Lee Jun Ho, who hosted MBC Gayo Daejejeon with Im Yoon Ah in 2021 and 2022, said, “We’ve known each other for more than 15 years as singer-actors, long before we became MBC Gayo Daejejeon together”.

He continued, “It is true that we get along well because we’ve known each other since we were young. But if I meet someone at this point, I can still become a good friend and colleague to anyone in any place”. Lee Jun Ho added, “Both of us have experiences as singers, so we feel comfortable with each other as colleagues and friends. However, there was a different feeling when we worked together as actors on the set”, revealing that they approached the drama professionally through their characters and enjoyed the filming.

Lee Jun Ho also mentioned actor Ahn Se Ha, who plays Secretary Noh Sang Sik in “King the Land”. He shared, “It was my first time working with Ahn Se Ha but there was so much fun when we acted together. I remember playing games with him”, adding “We talked with each other a lot from our first shoot. Goo Won and Sang Sik are completely different from each other but at the same time, they are a perfect match”.

Following the success of “King the Land”, Lee Jun Ho will meet his fans as a singer. He will hold a concert to celebrate the 15th anniversary of his debut with 2PM in September. Regarding the harsh comments he often receives as an idol-turned-actor, Lee Jun Ho emphasized, “I don’t think it matters where you started your career. I just want to be a versatile actor who can act sincerely and portray many roles”.

Meanwhile, “King the Land” airs every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 p.m.
