B.I makes official apology regarding drug scandal, “I’d like to apologize once again for my wrong judgments and choices in the past”

Singer B.I personally apologized for his drug use controversy in the past.

B.I held a press showcase at Shinhan pLay Square in Mapo-gu, Seoul at 4 p.m. on June 1st to commemorate the release of his second full album “TO DIE FOR”.

At the event, B.I faced reporters for the first time after more than 4 years since his drug use controversy. In 2019, B.I caused a stir when it was belatedly revealed that he bought cannabis and LSD through former idol trainee A and took some of them in 2016. He was then sentenced to three years in suspended prison and four years of probation during the first trial held in September last year.

B.I said, “I would like to apologize once again for causing a social controversy and disappointing many people with my wrong judgments and choices in the past”, adding, “I think I’ve never conveyed my true feelings properly. I wanted to express my sincere heart to the media and the public through this showcase”.

He further explained, “I also wanted to apologize for my past mistakes, present to you all the music I’ve worked very hard to make, and show how I have changed”.

Meanwhile, B.I’s second full album “TO DIE FOR” will be released on all music sites at 6 p.m. on June 1st.
