Director Kim Tae-yong On Working With His Wife Tang Wei, “After Seeing Her On Set, I Came Home And Saw Her Again”
Director Kim Tae-yong expressed his feelings about working with his wife Tang Wei for the second time with "Wonderland."
“It’s an amazing experience. It was great to be see her back home after the shooting,” Kim said at a press conference for the movie “Wonderland” at CGV Yongsan in Seoul’s Yongsan district on May 9.
“It was very encouraging to talk about things that I couldn’t tell on set at home again. It felt like working 24 hours a day because she told me what I was thinking about was right or not,” he said tactfully.
Tang Wei explained, “It was my second work with the director, and the biggest difference is that I’m more used to it than the previous work.”
“And whenever I have a conversation with the director, we only talk about work. The director is a workaholic and works in detail, and I am the same. I think I was lucky to work with him. Wouldn’t it have been hard if I were to be working with other people?”
Meanwhile, ‘Wonderland’ is a movie about meeting loved ones again through ‘Wonderland’, a video call service that restores a dead person with artificial intelligence. It will be released on June 5.
