“Second Husband” couple Uhm Hyun Kyung & Cha Seo Won announces marriage and pregnancy news
Actors Uhm Hyun Kyung and Cha Seo Won became a married couple and parents at the same time.
Uhm Hyun Kyung’s agency Yeo Jin Entertainment and Cha Seo Won’s rep Namoo Actors released official statements through Newsen on June 5th, saying “The two actors, Uhm Hyun Kyung and Cha Seo Won, met each other after working on the same drama and later became lovers after developing special affection for each other after the drama ended. Based on their deep trust and love, the two promised to become lifelong partners. The couple will hold their wedding after Cha Seo Won’s military discharge”.
In addition, the agencies also delivered news of Uhm Hyun Kyung’s pregnancy, saying “A previous life has come to the couple like a blessing. The two are currently waiting to welcome the precious life with a cautious and thankful heart.”
Cha Seo Won and Uhm Hyung Kyung played a couple in MBC’s drama “Second Husband”, which aired from August 2021 to April 2022, and even had an on-screen wedding. After the drama ended, the two actually became lovers in real life.
Uhm Hyun Kyung was born in 1986 and is 5 years older than Cha Seo Won, who was born in 1991. Cha Seo Won enlisted in November 2022, and is currently fulfilling his military duties.
Appearing on MBC’s “Omniscient Interfering View” broadcast in August last year, Uhm Hyun Kyung shared, “There is a person I really like. I hope the person I like will become my future husband”.
Regarding her marriage plan, the actress said, “I think I will get married first, even earlier than Choi Yoon Young, Han Bo Reum, and Lee Joo Woo. I want to do that, and I wish I could have a lovely family and someone who can stay by my side forever. I think I’ll feel more secure if I have a lifetime best friend. Having a pretty family and giving birth to children have been my dreams since I was young.”
