The Boyz Thank Fans After Winning 3 ‘ASEA 2024’ Awards, “Won’t Take Fans’ Love For Granted”

The Boyz attended the first Asia Star Entertainer Awards (ASEA 2024) held in K-Arena, Yokohama, Japan on April 10th. At the award ceremony, the group won three trophies in total, including The Best Stage, The Best Star and The Best Conceptual Artist.

In an interview with Newsen to celebrate their awards, member Younghoon said, “Thank you so much for giving us such wonderful awards. We’ll show you better performances. I believe that these awards are given to us to encourage The Boyz to work harder. The Boyz will continue to make The B (The Boyz’s fandom) smile”. 

Kevin also shared, “It’s such an honor to receive 3 awards and we’ll continue to work hard to always be The B’s pride. I think these are awards given to The Boyz by The B. Thank you for always supporting us. The B, I love you”. New also showed his gratitude to fans and promised to present better music and meet fans’ expectations.

In addition to winning the awards, The Boyz also brought about special live performances and aroused enthusiastic cheers from the audience. Juyeon explained, “We focused on performances because the tracks ‘WATCH IT’ and ‘Breaking Dawn’ all have an intense mood. We practiced a lot of difficult dances and acrobatic moves. We also paid attention to making natural facial expressions and gestures to fit the atmosphere of the stage.” Eric added, “We also focused on ad-libs to excite the audience”.

Since their debut with “THE FIRST” in 2017, The Boyz has been loved by music fans all over the world with their addictive songs and well-made performances. The group won Mnet’s survival “Road to Kingdom” and gained recognition for their outstanding performance abilities. Notably, The Boyz broke their own record with the second full album “PHANTASY Part 2 ‘Sixth Sense’” surpassing 600,000 copies in the first week of its album sales in November last year. Their total album sales in 2023 also exceeded 1.8 million copies.

As The Boyz continued to grow significantly, they achieved remarkable results, such as winning No.1 on Korean and overseas music charts through the promotion of “Nectar”, the title song of the full album “PHANTASY Part 3 ‘Love Letter’”.

Sangyeon confessed, “I’m very happy and grateful to see The B’s sincere support and reactions every time we release an album. I’m happier knowing the albums achieve good results. We worked hard to complete the promotion and will repay you guys at our concert in July”. Other members Hyunjae and Ju Haknyeon also thanked fans for the successful promotion.

Revealing that the driving forces behind their constant changes of concepts and growth in each album over the past seven years are the members and fans who always support and love them unconditionally, Sangyeon said, “I would like to express my gratitude to The Boyz members for their hard work over the past 7 years. We relied on each other during our hard times. Standing in front of The B and seeing their smile also helps us forget all the hardships. It’s all possible because the members understand each other so well”. 

Jacob added, “The members shared good energy with each other and that’s how we’ve been together for 7 years. I want to thank The B and the members and let’s continue to have fun.”  Younghoon shared, “Of course, The B is my biggest driving force. The Boyz was able to spend happy moments thanks to you guys. Also, I’d like to thank our company and the people we work with. Members! Let’s be together for 70 years. I love you guys. I hope we can be a group that can show new sides every time.”

Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, Ju Hakyeon, Sunwoo and Eric also took turns to thank the members and fans for their past journey of 7 years and promised to make music and perform together for a long time. 

Regarding their upcoming concert “THE BOYZ WORLD TOUR: ZENERATION II” to take place in July, Jacob said, “Let’s see each other a lot this year and make good memories. I want to meet more The B through this world tour and bring them happiness”. Q also said, “We’ll become The Boyz who repay you with better music and performances, so please continue to support us”.

Lastly, Sunwoo confessed, “In the second half of this year, we’ll meet The B all over the world through our world tour. We’ll also try to meet you guys through group and individual activities so please give us much love and interest.”
