Sudden dating rumors between Song Hye Kyo and ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo shut down

Song Hye Kyo is caught up in fake dating rumors again. This time, it involves ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo.

On January 3rd, entertainment YouTube channel A uploaded a video titled “43-year-old Song Hye Kyo is dating Cha Eun Woo who is 16 years younger.”

The released video spread the information that Song Hye Kyo admitted to dating Cha Eun Woo and even created a rumor that Song Hye Kyo and Cha Eun Woo shared skinship behind the drama set, rode inside the car and did not come out for more than two hours.

This channel even claimed, “Song Hye Kyo broke up with Jang Ki Yong not long ago. She heard that her ex-husband Song Joong Ki has a girlfriend, so she started looking for a new boyfriend”.

However, according to Sports Khan, this video is fake news from YouTube that has not been confirmed. Since January 3, when the video was released, there have been no reports about Song Hye Kyo and Cha Eun Woo dating. Since Cha Eun Woo’s debut, he has never revealed that his ideal type is an older woman,” Sports Khan wrote. No response has been given by the companies of the two actors.

In the first place, this is just a channel about entertainment-related gossip. Currently, this video has 13,000 views, and the comment function is restricted, ignoring criticism from netizens.

This is not the first time fake news from YouTube Korea has exploded.

Recently, videos containing fake news such as Baek Jong Won’s death, Lee Yeon Bok’s restaurant shutting down, Kim Gura’s separation surfaced.

Due to the seriousness of such fake news, there is a claim that YouTube should also be included as a subject of mediation by the Press Arbitration Commission.

However, on January 2nd, the Press Arbitration Committee submitted a ‘Report on Proposal for Media Criteria for Adjustment’ to the Office of Justice Party member Ryu Ho Jung, and YouTube channels operated by media companies were included in the target for adjustment, but judgment was reserved for news channels other than media companies.
