Park Eun-bin and the young cast of “The king’s affection” is on a climb to success

Though their current levels of success are different, the young cast of “The King’s Affection” is all doing well.

Park Eun Bin

As Crown Prince Lee Hwi, Park Eun Bin had an extraordinary performance, outshining other young faces in the main cast. Her share of fame is significantly boosted when she plays the lead role in the hit drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”.

As a genius attorney with an autism spectrum, Park Eun Bin has demonstrated versatile acting skills and persuaded both domestic and international audiences with her impeccable performance. It is safe to say she is one of the most outstanding K-drama stars in 2022, helping “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” become a commercially successful miniseries this year up to now.

Rowoon

Being an idol turned actor, Rowoon still showcased a well put-together performance in “The King’s Affection” as Jung Ji Woon, a charming and intelligent physician. His performance was both natural and complementary alongside Park Eun Bin. In 2022, Rowoon starred in MBC’s “Tomorrow” alongside veteran actress Kim Hee Sun.

Despite a gradual fall in rating and Rowoon’s acting drawing mixed reviews, “Tomorrow” was still a memorable introduction to 2022 with an impressive 7.6% rating in the opening episode.

Nam Yoon Su

Receiving love from viewers as the gentle and sensitive second male lead Lee Hyun, Nam Yoon Su is upgraded to a more central role in 2022, starring alongside Kim Se Jeong and Choi Daniel in “Today’s Webtoon”.

A tall and handsome appearance and stable performance despite a lack of foundations in acting, Nam Yoon Su is taking step by step to reach new heights in his career.

Choi Byung Chan

Despite not having much screen time in “The King’s Affection”, Choi Byung Chan still got his fair share of attention thanks to his attractive visuals. Compared to other actors in the series, Choi Byung Chan has yet to gain a breakout role and still stays put as a supporting character.

His character Shin Ha Min in “Business Proposal”, in contrast, generated considerable attention for Choi Byung Chan. Younger brother to Shin Ha Ri (played by Kim Se Jeong), he is loved for his adorable appearance and charming personality.

Jung Chae Yeon

As Lee Hwi’s fiancée, Jung Chae Yeon captured the audience’s attention for immaculate beauty, reminiscent of wealthy ladies of the past. While her acting needs more improvement, her aura and expression fit that of the character she played. Therefore, her portrayal was still able to come across to the viewers.

In the coming end of September, with Lee Jong Suk and Yoona’s “Big Mouth” coming to an end, Jung Chae Yeon will appear in MBC’s “The Golden Spoon”, where she will take on a lead role.

Barely a year after “The King’s Affection” ended, its cast has already found a stable place in their own careers, signaling a bright and promising future for the actors and actresses.
