Seolhyun and Shin Eun Soo appeared on “Power Time” radio program and revealed various stories.
Actresses Seolhyun and Shin Eun Soo of Genie TV’s original series “I Don’t Want to Do Anything” guested on SBS PowerFM’s “Choi Hwa Jung’s Power Time”, which aired on November 7th.
On the broadcast, DJ Choi Hwa Jung commented that Seolhyun has been working nonstop.
In response, Seolhyun shared, “I began working on this drama and ‘The Killer’s Shopping List’ at the same time. As a result, I worked without resting thinking that I should at least release one drama a year”, boasting about her diligence.
When Choi Hwa Jung asked if she prefers working to resting, Seolhyun replied, “It’s nice to take a break but whenever I think of fans who are waiting for me, I want to work even when I’m resting”.
“I Don’t Want to Do Anything”, starring Seolhyun and Shin Eun Soo, tells about Yeo Reum, who quits her job and declares to make a change in her life, and Dae Beom, a librarian who doesn’t know what to do with his life, carrying out a project to find healing.
Seolhyun plays Lee Yeo Reum, who volunteers to become unemployed and leave for the countryside, while Shin Eun Soo appears as Kim Bom, a person who looks cold on the outside but is warm on the inside and is often seen in the library instead of at school.
When the MC asked the two actresses about their synchronization rate with the characters in the drama, Seolhyun said 99%. She shared, “After reading the webtoon, I felt that I could relate to the story. That’s why I wanted to do this drama”.
Shin Eun Soo also answered the question, saying “Bom is very soft-hearted. However, Bom expresses herself in a rough way, while I’m living in a society, so I don’t tend to beat around the bush. I think being loyal is our similarity”.
Referring to “I Don’t Want to Do Anything”, Seolhyun said, “It’s really interesting. I think lots of people can relate to the drama title. You will be able to sympathize that much, feel healing, and gain vicarious satisfaction while watching the drama”, raising the viewers’ high expectations for the work.
Seolhyun also confessed that she was able to visit many good restaurants thanks to the filming that took place in Gurye, Jeollanam-do.
Seolhyun said, “When I find a good restaurant, I only go there. Everywhere I went, it was delicious, but Gurye black pork is famous. So I ate a lot of black pork black bean noodles and marinated black pork,” making Choi Hwa Jung jealous.
Choi Hwa Jung asked Shin Eun Soo, who has taken on the role of a daughter in various works, what kind of daughter she is in real life.
When asked about her mother’s reaction to her different drama daughter roles, Shin Eun Soo said, “My mom said that she wanted to smack one of the daughters I played. Especially when I took on such a role in ‘A Model Family’, but that character is deep inside, so I think she is a good daughter.”
Shin Eun Soo is the youngest among her three sisters in real life, so she boasted the charm of a maknae, saying, “I’m very mischievous with my sisters, but because of me, the atmosphere between us is uplifted.”
Meanwhile, Seolhyun made a surprising confession that she appeared bare-faced in “Summer Strike”.
Seolhyun said, “My character quits her job and moves to the countryside to do nothing. I didn’t even put on eye makeup or lipstick. I only applied lip balm. The director wanted it to be realistic.”
As for the secret to her beautiful skin, Seolhyun emphasized the importance of drinking a lot of water. Seolhyun boasted her love for water and revealed that she drank at least 2L a day.
Shin Eun Soo said, “I don’t touch my face before washing my hands. In the past, I had a lot of pimples because I kept touching my face unconsciously, but now I try to be careful.”
Finally, Seolhyun said, “It was nice to greet the listeners after a long time. I had fun.” Shin Eun Soo said, “It’s my first time on a radio show, but I talk a lot because it’s more comfortable than I thought.”
