“Physical: 100” beat “Crash Course in Romance” and “Achemy of Souls Part 2” on Netflix’s “Global TOP 10” ranking
The popularity of “Physical: 100,” an entertainment show created by Netflix and MBC, is alarming.
On the 8th, Netflix released their weekly global TOP 10 ranking where “Physical: 100” recorded 31.3 million viewing hours in the first week of February (from January 30 to February 5), coming in second in the non-English TV category. It rose five ranks from the previous week.
“Physical: 100” is also in the TOP 10 list in 62 countries and regions, including South Korea, Brazil, Canada, the United States, Finland, and Italy.
“Physical: 100,” released on Netflix the 24th of last month, is a survival entertainment featuring 100 contestants who take pride in their physical attributes to compete in various challenges in order to find the one with the most strength.
In the non-English-speaking TV show category, the Spanish original limited series “The Snow Girl” topped the list with 50.24 million viewing hours. Third place with 25.73 million viewing hours was the Spanish version of “Queen of the South season 3.”
In addition to “Physical: 100,” Korean dramas “Crash Course in Romance,” ( 5th with 15.55 million), “Alchemy of Souls Part 2” (7th with 11.52 million) and “The Interest of Love” ( 9th with 10.95 million) were also included in the TOP 10 chart.
Currently, new episodes of “Physical: 100” are released every Tuesday at 5 p.m. on Netflix. Six out of nine episodes are available for streaming.
According to an earlier announcement by OTT ranking aggregation site FlixPatrol on the 2nd, “Physical: 100” ranked 4th in Netflix rankings around the world.
Recently, Jungkook (BTS) also drew more attention to the show by watching the program on live broadcast.
