Jin Ji Hee “I slapped Seo Shin Ae hard on the face, then had to act softly for a while due to negative comments”

Jin Ji Hee revealed a story behind the filming of the sitcom “High Kick Through the Roof” in the past.

On MBC’s ‘Radio Star‘, which aired on December 14th, Jin Ji Hee recalled the time she starred in her representative drama, MBC’s sitcom ‘High Kick Through the Roof’ (2009).

Regarding her popularity at the time, she said, “A lot of people recognized me, and I received a lot of advertising offers. When I went to school, seniors and juniors came to the classroom. They approached me in a friendly manner, so I was able to get close to my friends easily.” 

About slapping co-star Seo Shin Ae in the sitcom, Jin Ji Hee recalled, “I worked hard playing my character who bullies Shin Ae’s character. There was also a scene where I slapped Shin Ae. At that time, I hit a person for the first time in my life.” 

She continued, “So I slapped her on the cheek hard. After that, I received negative comments. My parents who saw those comments told me to hold back while acting, so I acted more softly for a while.” 

Jin Ji Hee expressed her gratitude, “So director Kim Byung Wook said, ‘Trust me and act as you normally do.’ So I trusted the director and acted as usual, and he made me a character that couldn’t be hated.”
