“Confidential Assignment 2” Hyun Bin plays North Korean agent again… Will he succeed this time?

Hyun Bin, who showed a strong acting transformation as Cheol-ryung, a detective from North Korea’s special investigation team, in the movie “Confidential Assignment” (2017), which attracted 7.81 million viewers during the 2017 Lunar New Year holiday, drew keen attention with his spectacular action acting such as wire, hand-to-hand fighting and car-chasing.
In the drama “Crash Landing on You” (2019), which depicts the love story of a chaebol heiress who made an emergency landing in North Korea because of a paragliding accident and a North Korean officer who hides, protects and falls in love with her, Hyun Bin created a hot syndrome around the world by presenting a special romance as North Korean officer Ri Jeong-hyeok.
Hyun Bin, who has been active through attractive characters in a wide range of genres from action to romance, will return to the screen for the first time in 4 years and continue his box office potential as Cheol-ryung of “Confidential Assignment 2: International“.
“Confidential Assignment 2: International” is a film about the unpredictable triangular cooperation investigation between North Korean detective Im Cheol-ryung (Hyun Bin), South Korean detective Kang Jin-tae (Yoo Hae-jin) and FBI agent Jack (Daniel Henney), who unite for each other’s purposes. Hyun Bin plays the role of Cheol-ryung, an elite North Korean detective who comes back to South Korea with a new mission in “Confidential Assignment 2: International”.
Hyun Bin, who takes on the role of Cheol-ryung, who begins a triangular cooperation investigation to complete his mission successfully, is expected to show a global chemistry with South Korean detective Jin-tae and overseas detective Jack as well as his charisma and action acting.
