YG and avex to Hold Public Auditions to Unearth Next K-pop Stars Following in the Footsteps of BLACKPINK and BABYMONSTER

YG Entertainment announced on February 13th that they will hold ‘YG x avex Audition 2024’ with Japanese entertainment company avex. This joint audition is the first in about eight years since the ‘YOUNGUNS AUDITION’ in 2016.

YG and avex will hold large-scale auditions in seven major cities in Japan, starting from Sapporo and including Nagoya, Fukuoka, Osaka, Tokyo, Sendai, and Okinawa, for a total of 10 rounds. They will hold on-site auditions based on online video screenings and further evaluate selected applicants.

This audition is open to anyone born between 2003 and 2013, regardless of gender or nationality. Applications will only be accepted online from February 13th to March 10th. Detailed information can be found on the official website of ‘YG x avex Audition 2024’.

YG has debuted numerous K-pop artists who have transcended beyond Korea to become global sensations, including BIGBANG, 2NE1, BLACKPINK, Winner, iKON, Treasure, and the recent successful debut of BABYMONSTER. They have led the K-pop craze in the global market.

With the news of YG’s audition spreading, which is backed by a world-class in-house producing system and expertise, it is expected that there will be enthusiastic participation from talented individuals with infinite potential.
