“Marry My Husband” Enjoys Popularity even after Ending, Amazon Global Top10 for 18 Weeks

The K-drama "Marry My Husband" has entered a phase of long-term global success despite having ended ages ago.

It is reported that the K-drama “Marry My Husband” recorded 5th place in the Amazon Prime Video Global TV Shows Weekly Rankings for the 1st week of May (April 29th – May 5th), encompassing both English and non-English content. 

Since its broadcast started in the 1st week of January, “Marry My Husband” has maintained its position in Amazon Global TOP10 for 18 consecutive weeks. Especially noteworthy is its steady presence in the TOP10 rankings for 10 weeks after its conclusion on February 20, demonstrating global popularity comparable to its domestic on-air period (according to FlixPatrol).

As of May 7 (Tuesday), looking at the rankings by country, “Marry My Husband” ranked in the TOP10 in a total of 46 countries, including Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, and more. Among them, it continues to attract attention by ranking in the TOP3 in a total of 19 countries, including Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, and Indonesia.

A Studio Dragon official stated, “Marry My Husband’ has been maintaining its position in the global OTT rankings for over two months since its conclusion, making history in the global success of K-dramas. As it continues to spread by word of mouth among global viewers, the ‘Marry My Husband’ craze is expected to continue for a while.”

Meanwhile, “Marry My Husband” also became the first K-drama to top the global daily TV show rankings since Amazon Prime Video started its global service in 2016. Moreover, it successfully entered the TOP10 rankings on Amazon Prime Video in countries such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, the Netherlands, and Italy, marking the first time for a K-drama to achieve this in North America and Europe.
