Witnessing the death of Lee Sun-kyun, the Association of Cultural Arts agreed that this should not be repeated. They will urge the investigation on Lee Sun-kyun to be completed thoroughly, request the media to refrain from reporting unauthorized articles and delete articles that do not meet the purpose of reporting, and demand the revision of current laws to protect the human rights of cultural artists.

Lee Sun-kyun passed away on December 27th last year while under investigation on drug charges. After Lee Sun-kyun’s death, many people criticized the police and the media for revealing details of the investigation and the actor’s identity before the criminal charges were finalized.
