BLACKPINK’s Lisa Made Headlines With Comeback Hints After Leaving YG
Fans are looking forward to a new music collaboration between BLACKPINK’s Lisa and singer Tyla
On March 13th, Grammy-winning singer Tyla suddenly released a video with BLACKPINK’s Lisa in a recording studio, arousing keen attention from music fans. The video clip shows the two listening to a snippet from Tyla’s new album.
While Tyla and Lisa were enjoying the song, the production team turned it off to keep secret of the melody, making Lisa show a regretful expression. Fans spread the video, raising expectations for a collaboration between Lisa and Tyla.
On her SNS account, Tyla announced the release of her album on March 22nd and revealed that Lisa was the first person to listen to it. In the comment section, the BLACKPINK member even added the comment “Can’t wait”. Lisa’s enthusiasm for Tyla’s new album has further strengthened fans’ belief in the possibility of a collaboration.
If it happens, this will be Lisa’s first music release since she decided to not sign an individual contract with YG.
Even so, some pointed out that their collaboration may take a little more time. Previously, Tyla shared her moment with Lisa on Instagram Story with the caption, “Sweetest girl. Played her some of my favorite songs on the album. Definitely a Lisa X Tyla collab down the line”.
Tyla is a South African singer-songwriter born in 2002. She debuted with a single in 2019 and has released various hit songs such as “Girl Next Door”, “True Or Date” or “Water”. In 2023, Tyla won Best African Music Performance at the Grammy Awards with the song “Water”. In the past, Tyla also confessed that she wanted to work with BLACKPINK and predicted a hit if that happened.
