The impact of BLACKPINK is enough to save several businesses from bankruptcy
Kpop girl group BLACKPINK boast a huge popularity that transcends out of Korea. Therefore, whenever a member wears new items, eats new foods, or drinks new beverages, they always kickstarter new trends, benefiting respective businesses immensely. In fact, even failing shops can be resurrected if BLACKPINK becomes affiliated with them.
During a trip back to Thailand, BLACKPINK Lisa visited a food stall that sells meatballs. As a result, fans of BLACKPINK started to try meatballs here as well, just to get a taste of Lisa’s favorite food. Soon after, the food stall grows so popular, they open 50 branches, and even start merchandising.
On “Woody Show”, the owner of this stall directly thanked Lisa for changing his life, and even now, he’d offer discounts for BLINKs (fans of BLACKPINK) that visit the branches.
Meanwhile, Rosé once dined at a food truck that specializes in Vietnamese food. Prior to her visit, the food truck was relatively unknown. However, it has since grown into a full-fledged restaurant that’s a go-to spot for Vietnamese food lovers.
On the other hand, Jisoo is a huge contributor to the now famous food court at YG. The company’s canteen started to become a hot topic after news of Jisoo picking YG for the food, even rejecting SM Entertainment, started to spread.
