Upon the release of this internal announcement, criticism of “power abuse” arose among netizens. Netizens expressed reactions such as “Isn’t this power abuse?“, “Is it even necessary to issue an urgent notice?” and “I can’t tell if it’s promotion or coercion, but it’s amazing.”

Meanwhile, the production team of “I-Land 2” emphasized the fairness of the voting process. They stated on April 18th through the broadcast that they would ensure that “from the aggregation of votes to the calculation of results, there will be no manipulation by the production team in the voting process, as it will be verified by the external professional organization ‘Samil PwC’” and that they would strive to create a good program.

“I-Land 2” is an Mnet audition program marking the collaboration between CJ ENM and producer Teddy. 24 trainees from the entertainment agency WAKEONE will participate, and through competition, only 12 will be selected to debut.
