Big Mouse killed in an explosion…”Big Mouth” rating reached a real-time high of 14.3% while the viewers were in shock due to Ep 12’s unexpected ending

In episode 12 of MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama “Big Mouth” (created by Jang Young-chul, Jung Kyung-sun/ scripted by Kim Ha-ram/ directed by Oh Chung-hwan/ produced by AStory, Studio Dragon, A-Man Project), which aired on September 3rd, Park Chang-ho (Lee Jong-seok), who managed to clear up all the charges on him, took charge of defending the real Big Mouse Noh Park and started a new life. However, Noh Park (Yang Hyung-wook) suddenly at the last minute due to an explosion, which shocked the viewers.

The situation inside the prison was chaotic due to the riot caused by Choi Do-ha (Kim Joo-heon). Unaware of this fact, Park Chang-ho faced Noh Park, who finally revealed his identity as Big Mouse. Noh Park revealed that he designed all the plans to take revenge for his dead daughter while digging into the unpublished thesis by Professor Seo Jae-yong (Park Hoon).

Park Chang-ho said to Noh Park, “I’m going to let go of my resentment towards you, and those people. I will live my life”, then offered a deal. Ko Mi-ho, who was in the medical room during Park Chang-ho and Big Mouse’s psychological battle, was at the crossroad between life and death. Park Chang-ho, who belatedly knew about that, headed to the medical room with the help of Big Mouse, while Ko Mi-ho was dealing with the brutal criminal in her own way.

While in a dilemma, Noh Park accepted Park Chang-ho’s offer. Park Chang-ho called Gong Ji-hoon (Yang Kyung-won) to the prison and handed over Noh Park to the police. As the real Big Mouse was arrested, Park Chang-ho not only cleared all his charges but also succeeded in taking revenge on Choi Do-ha, signaling the start of his new life.

Park Chang-ho then took charge of Noh Park himself. As Park Chang-ho became more famous, Choi Do-ha became more uncomfortable with him. Like Park Chang-ho, who ran towards the powerful people step by step, Ko Mi-ho was also hurriedly finding the truth in the unpublished documents related to Gucheon Prison. While looking for an opportunity to enter the working area, Ko Mi-ho ran inside without hesitation and rescued people when a large sinkhole occurred. However, the story of Chairman Kang, which mentioned life accidents, made the viewers anxious that something unusual might happen to Ko Mi-ho.

On the other hand, Park Chang-ho applied to release Big Mouse on bail then the two headed to the restaurant where Big Mouse lived. The relationship between the real Big Mouse and the fake Big Mouse, who ran toward the same goal after taking off their prison uniforms, shared a warm atmosphere. However, Noh Park suddenly died in a sudden explosion at the end of episode 12, giving the viewers a great shock. Everyone is curious about what move Park Chang-ho will take after losing his client. 

According to Nielsen Korea, Episode 12 of “Big Mouth” recorded 12% in both nationwide and Seoul area ratings, breaking its own highest rating record again and firmly maintaining its No.1 position among dramas of the same broadcasting time. In the 2049 chart, “Big Mouth” achieved 4.5%, which is the best result among Saturday shows. In particular, the rating soared to reach a peak of 14.3% in the scene where Park Chang-ho mentioned the background of NR Forum through a press conference and opened a new act in his life. 

MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama “Big Mouth”, which is drawing huge attention with unpredictable developments, airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 p.m.
