Kang Daniel expressed his feelings about his first attempt at acting.
On the morning and afternoon of October 14th, the ‘Disney+ Korea Media Day and APAC Content’ showcase was held through an online live broadcast.
Kang Daniel will make his acting debut through Disney+’s ‘Our Police Course’. It depicts the turbulent growth and romance of young people against the background of the police academy. This work will be directed by PD Kim Byung-soo of ‘A Korean Odyssey’, ‘He Is Psychometric’ and written by writer Lee Ha-na.
Kang Daniel (as Wi Seung-hyun) shared, “It’s the first time I’ve ever tried acting and it’s also the first time I’ve watched a trailer as a complete product. It’s so amazing, and I want to enjoy the drama as soon as possible because it seems to capture the image of youth that I had in mind.”
Chae Soo-bin (as Go Eun-gang) said, “I’ve been filming since May until now, so I’m worried and excited to see how it’ll be captured. After watching the video, I want to enjoy the drama sooner.”
Kang Daniel, who transformed from a singer to an actor, explained why he chose ‘Our Police Course’, “I was worried when I received the script, but the concerns about acting gradually disappeared.” He contentedly added, “I was attracted to the genre of youth, and I read the script as if possessed. The best thing about it was that the actors were the same age, so it was very comfortable. I decided to take on the challenge because I like the way my friends and I went through various things and grew up at the police university that I imagined. I felt a different kind of fun from acting on stage, so I filmed it all worthwhile.”
Meanwhile, Disney+ is an online streaming service that provides a variety of movies and TV programs including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic as well as ‘The Simpsons’ series. It will be serviced in Korea from November 12th.
