The heat from Lee Seung-gi and Lee Se-young’s “The Law Cafe” is spreading all over Asia

The popularity of “The Law Cafe” is spreading globally.

KBS 2TV’s Monday-Tuesday drama “The Law Cafe” is serviced in major Asian countries, the Middle East, and Africa through Asia’s largest OTT platform Viu.

Viu signed an exclusive contract for “The Law Cafe” and has now started streaming services for the show in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, etc. simultaneously with Korea. “The Law Cafe”, which succeeded in climbing the chart immediately after its release, recorded 2nd place in Indonesia and 3rd place in Malaysia on Viu chart in the second week of September (September 12th-18th) and is still rising in other countries as well.

“The Law Cafe” is a romantic drama about Kim Jeong-ho (Lee Seung-gi), a former prosecutor and a building owner, and Kim Yu-ri (Lee Se-young), his tenant who is also a quirky lawyer. In addition to Lee Seung-gi’s global popularity, Lee Se-young’s previous work “The Red Sleeve” was also serviced locally through Viu and received great love throughout Asia.

Currently on Viu, in addition to “The Law Cafe”, “Again My Life”, “Why Her”, “Today’s Webtoon”, which aired in the first half of this year, and KBS 2TV’s Wednesday-Thursday drama “Tell Me Your Wish”, are all in service and have been ranked at the top of the list.

On the other hand, Viu is the largest OTT platform in East Asia, with K-content as its main content, in terms of the number of monthly users, beating Disney+ and Netflix. In addition, Korean dramas are being serviced in various ways on Viu, including local remakes of “She Was Pretty” and “Flower of Evil”.
