Song Hye Kyo: A pretty student from Daegu who almost became a ‘figure skating fairy’ before Kim Yuna

Netflix’s series ‘The Glory’ starring Song Hye Kyo will be released on December 30th.

On December 8, Netflix released the second poster and teaser trailer for ‘The Glory’. ‘The Glory‘ is the story of a woman whose soul was shattered by violence in her childhood. She falls into a whirlwind of desperate revenge that she carefully prepared.

In the second poster released, Song Hye Kyo’s serious expression catches the attention as she wraps herself in her arms as if to self-protect. The text on one side of the poster reads, “Let’s dry up and die slowly together”.

Song Hye Kyo made her debut in the 1996 Sunkyung ‘Smart Model Contest’. At the time of her debut, Song Hye Kyo was only in her mid-teens, but she is an OG Hallyu star representing Korea. She has continued her reputation as a top star even after the 2000s and 2010s.

Her iconic dramas that earned record-breaking ratings are ‘Autumn in My Heart’, ‘Full House’ and ‘Descendants of the Sun’.

In her childhood, Song Hye Kyo was a figure skater. Her middle school homeroom teacher said on a broadcast, “Song Hye Kyo’s mother personally recognized her daughter’s talent in figure skating.” When asked, “What if Song Hye Kyo did not give up on figure skating?”, her teacher said, “I think she would have become like Kim Yuna with her beauty.”
