Kim Seon-ho, Jisoo, Lim Young-woong and more will receive awards at the Seoul Drama Awards 2022.

On September 8th, the Seoul Drama Awards Organizing Committee (Chairman Kim Eui-chul) and Neowiz announced the winners of this year’s “Hallyu Drama Male and Female Actor Award”, “OST Award” and “Asia Star Award” selected by Hallyu fans around the world.

Actor Kim Seon-ho (tvN’s “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha“) won the Male Actor Award in the Hallyu drama category with more than half of the votes (53.4%). “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” starring Kim Seon-ho not only caused the Hometown syndrome in Korea, but also promoted K-dramas’ status by ranking third in Netflix’s world rankings.

The Female Actor Award went to actress Jisoo (JTBC’s “Snowdrop“). Jisoo topped the list with 41.6% of the votes, and was evaluated for well playing the role of Eun Young-ro, a character with bright energy.

The OST Award, which awards the best OST among Hallyu dramas, will be given to singer Lim Young-woong for OST “Love Always Run Away” of KBS 2TV’s “Young Lady and Gentleman”. In particular, Lim Young-woong recorded an overwhelming vote rate of 59.53%. “Young Lady and Gentleman” set a 38.2% ratings record (based on Nielsen Korea) thanks to the passionate performance of the lead actors and the popularity of the OST sung by national singer Lim Young-woong.
