Kim Eun Hee’s new drama “Revenant” drops first teaser with Kim Tae Ri’s gaze changing when being possessed by a devil

The new mystery-thriller series “Revenant”, starring Kim Tae Ri, unveiled the first teaser ahead of its first broadcast on June 23rd.

SBS’s “Revenant” (written by Kim Eun Hee/ directed by Lee Jung Rim/ produced by Studio S & BA Entertainment) is a Korean occult mystery-thriller drama about a woman possessed by a devil and a man who can see the devil digging up the truth behind a mysterious death.

“Revenant” has drawn attention since its production stage as the new project by famous screenwriter Kim Eun Hee, who gains the nickname “master of the genre drama” through various successful series, such as “Sign”, “Phantom”, “Signal” and “Phantom”. In particular, the combination of a mysterious narrative of tracing occult phenomena based on Korean folklore and a series of mysterious incidents stimulates viewers’ anticipation for the birth of another Kim Eun Hee’s hit work.

On May 26th, the production team aroused keen interest from drama fans releasing the first teaser video. First of all, the teaser begins with Goo San Yeong (Kim Tae Ri)’s narration, saying “Outside the door is a different world, and when you open the door, there are devils”, creating a mysterious atmosphere as a new world beyond imagination unfolds. When San Yeong’s gaze changes after receiving the belongings of her deceased father that she should not touch, the horror story is introduced.

Possessed by a devil that delves into human desires, San Yeong finds herself surrounded by endless mysterious incidents. Hae Sang (Oh Jung Se), the only person who can see the devil and a folklorist, tries hard to prevent them.

However, facing the devil that controls human psychology, humans get more vulnerable and helpless. Along with Hae Sang’s desperate scream “No” in the end, only death remains.

Although the first teaser of “Revenant” is only 30 seconds long, it conveys a breathtaking sense of tension and extreme horror, heralding the birth of a well-made thriller drama on a different level.

Above all, Lee Jung Rim’s directing skills are expected to revive the charming story written by Kim Eun Hee. Anticipation is high for the official broadcast of “Revenant”, which will showcase Lee Jung Rim’s occult visual aesthetics and Kim Eun Hee’s meticulously plot development.
