ITZY’s Chaeryeong Self-Dissed During Live Broadcast with Yuna, Prompting Fans to Offer Words of Encouragement

ITZY has been making waves in the music industry since their debut in 2019. One member in particular, Chaeryeong, has been capturing fans’ hearts with her unique charm and talent. 

However, during a recent live broadcast with fellow member Yuna, Chaeryeong engaged in self-deprecating behavior, prompting fans to offer words of encouragement.

Last August, ITZY embarked on their first world tour, starting with a Seoul show. They have since been performing all over the world, including a recent concert in Hong Kong on the 11th and 12th of March. 

ITZY has received much love for their visuals. However, Chaeryeong has shown signs of low self-esteem in the past, and her behavior during a recent live broadcast with Yuna only added to fans’ concerns.

During the broadcast, Chaeryeong was sitting next to Yuna and filming a self-video when she candidly remarked, “There’s such a difference between you and me. You’re so pretty and bright.” 

She then went on to compare their looks and expressed her frustration by saying, “What should I do? You’re too shiny.” Yuna then tried to make Chaeryeong feel better by turning off a nearby light, but Chaeryeong laughed, saying, “I don’t think it works.” She eventually covered her face with her hand.

Fans were quick to offer words of encouragement to Chaeryeong, reminding her that she is beautiful just the way she is and that she shouldn’t compare herself to others. 

Comments flooded in, with fans expressing their support by saying things like, “Have confidence in yourself,” and “Both of you are goddesses in our eyes.”

Meanwhile, ITZY, who finished the Hong Kong concert, will perform in Bangkok, Thailand, on April 8.
