Hong Kong model Abby Choi’s murder: Ex-husband and in-laws denied bail 

The four suspects in Abby Choi’s case appeared in court on the morning of February 27 on charges of murder.

Hong Kong model Abby Choi’s ex-husband and his relatives will continue to be detained without bail after appearing in court for the first time in the morning of February 27 (local time).

Abby Choi’s ex-husband, Alex Kwong, his parents and brother were earlier taken to the court, days after they were arrested on suspicion of murdering Abby Choi. Kwong, 28, his father Kwong Kau, 65, and brother Anthony Kwong, 31, are charged with gruesome murder. His 63-year-old mother, Jenny Li Sui-heung, faces charges of obstruction of justice by obstructing the investigation.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case until May 8.

The brutal murder of Abby Choi has attracted media and public attention. Previously, the police discovered Abby Choi’s body parts in a house, a few days after she went missing. They are still searching for the remains of her body.

The fifth suspect in the case, who has yet to be prosecuted, is a 47-year-old woman identified by local media as Wu Ng. This person is said to be Kwong Kau’s mistress, and also the person who rented an apartment to hide Abby Choi’s ex-husband before he was arrested.
