Yuqi honestly shared, “We often make money from the comeback activities but ‘TOMBOY’ cost too much so we actually got a minus”. She added, “While planning for ‘TOMBOY’, the company first proposed a fixed budget but I thought it wouldn’t work because it was our comeback after a very long time. It was like a restart, we decided to spend double the suggested amount after numerous discussions and coordination with the company”, revealing the secret.

Min Kyung-hoon then asked, “The group got a minus in income, but isn’t it Soyeon’s song?”, mentioning the copyright fee. Soyeon responded, “That’s right. That’s why I was fine”. The members booed at Soyeon’s answer.

When Kang Ho-dong asked if she felt proud of herself when “TOMBOY” became a mega-hit song, Soyeon said, “Yes. When our album did not perform well, I got discouraged and rarely went to work. But after ‘TOMBOY’ was released, I straightened my back and went to the company quite often”.

Soyeon also talked about (G)I-DLE’s new song. She said, “At first, our comeback song ‘Nxde’ was strongly opposed because of its title. They said it was too raw and too suggestive. However, as soon as I heard that, I thought we should release this song”. Miyeon added, “That’s Soyeon’s personality. If you tell her not to do something, she will want to do it even more”. Soyeon continued, “When I thought of ‘nude’ for the first time, I didn’t think it was something obscene. In my opinion, it’s a word that expresses our true selves because we were all born nude. That’s the reason why I really wanted to introduce the song”. She added, “I tried to persuade our company by making a PPT to prove that ‘nude’ is not an erotic word”. Soyeon’s planning skills and efforts amazed everyone.
