From SEVENTEEN to New Jeans, the lineup for the 2022 AAA in Japan is unveiled

Super luxurious Kpop  groups will appear at the “2022 Asia Artist Awards”, which will be held in Japan.

According to a new announcement, SEVENTEEN, THE BOYZ, Stray Kids, ITZY, TREASURE, IVE, Kep1er, LE SSERAFIM, and New Jeans have confirmed to attend the 2022 Asia Artist Awards in Japan (hereinafter referred to as 2022 AAA), which will be held on December 13th. 

Since their debut in 2015, SEVENTEEN has been love for numerous hit songs such as “Pretty U”, “Oh My”, “Very Nice”, “Clap”, “Don’t Wanna Cry”, and “HOT”, establishing themselves as a top idol group representing the Kpop scene. Recently, the group has been consistently performing as an “irreplaceable Kpop leader”, such as achieving the record of “7 million-seller albums in a row”. Attention is focused on whether or not SEVENTEEN will be able to receive the honor of the grand prize Daesang.

THE BOYZ, Stray Kids, ITZY, and TREASURE also received invitations to the 2022 AAA.

In the first half of this year, THE BOYZ successfully completed their first world tour “THE BOYZ WORLD TOUR: THE B-ZONE”, which covers major cities in the Americas, Europe and Asia. In August, the group released their mini-album “BE AWARE” and swept the music charts, album charts, music shows, and more with their title song “WHISPER”.

After releasing their mini album “ODDINARY” in March of this year, Stray Kids became the third K-pop artist to top the US Billboard’s main chart “Billboard 200”. In October, they released the new mini album “MAXIDENT”, which recorded pre-order sales of over 2.24 million copies.

ITZY became a million-seller for the first time since their debut, surpassing the cumulative album sales of 1 million with their mini-album “CHECKMATE” released in July. In addition, the girl group is further solidifying their position as a “global trend”, having ranked 8th on the US Billboard’s main chart “Billboard 200”.

TREASURE

TREASURE released their first mini album “THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE” in February of this year and topped the iTunes Worldwide Album Chart in 30 countries and regions and the Oricon Chart in Japan. On October 4th, they made a comeback after 8 months with their 2nd mini album “THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER TWO”, and are quickly taking over the global charts once again.

In addition, 4th generation rookie girl groups who led this year’s “Girl Power” will also attend the 2022 AAA. First, there’s IVE, who topped music charts and music shows with “Eleven”, “Love Dive”, and “After Like”. Then, there’s Kep1er, who is occupying Korea and Japan at the same time, having recorded 100 million streams on Spotify and Billboard Japan. Finally, LE SSERAFIM, who surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify in the shortest time among the K-pop groups that debuted this year, and New Jeans, the “monster rookie that is creating a sensation both at home and abroad as soon as they debut, are also joining the line-up.

The 2022 Asia Artist Awards will be held at the Nihongaishi Hall in Nagoya, Japan on December 13th, and will welcome fans worldwide with an offline platform for the first time in 3 years. Super Junior Lee Teuk and IVE Jang Won Young will be MCs as they did last year.
