Fans boycott songs of Jung Bobby, composer of BTS and TXT, due to his assault and illegal filming charges

While Jung Bobby (real name Jung Dae Wook) of the group Fall Vacation was sentenced to prison for assault and illegal filming, the songs he composed are under the spotlight again.

According to Yonhap News Agency on Dec 14th, the Seoul Western District Court held a trial on Jeong Bobby’s alleged violation of the Sexual Violence Crime Punishment Act (illegal filming, etc.), The court sentenced him to 1 year in prison and arrested him.

In addition, he is to complete 40 hours of sexual violence treatment programs and is restricted from being employed at institutions related to children and adolescents and welfare facilities for the disabled for 5 years.

However, he was found not guilty of illegally filming his ex-girlfriend A and some assault charges related to another woman B.

As the news became known, the songs Bobby Jung participated in are being re-examined on various online communities.

Jung participated as a composer of Big Hit Entertainment’s groups BTS and TXT in 2018.

Songs that Jung Bobby co-participated in writing and composing include BTS’s “Filter”, “I’m Fine”, “Home”, “DreamGlow”, “Answer: Love Myself”, “134340”, “Love Maze”, TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s “Way Home”, “Roller Coaster”, and “20cm”.

Netizens who found out this news have started a boycott campaign against all the songs Jung participated in.

Earlier in May, after it was revealed that BTS’s new album “Proof” included the song “Filter,” which Jung Bobby participated in making, the fandom was sent into a public rage.
