BTS V became the first Korean man to surpass 51 million followers on Instagram

BTS V became the first Kpop male idol to surpass 51 million Instagram followers, boasting unrivaled social power.

On September 12, V became the first Korean male star to record 51 million Instagram followers. V is showing the world’s top brand power on Instagram as the main character of the modifier “record breaker.”

V’s recently released photo showing a well-balanced and wonderful body line received a lot of love as it gained more than 16 million likes on this platform. The photo earlier garnered 10 million likes in 6 hours, making him set the record as an Asian to reach this milestone for the shortest time. 

After 8 years of debut, in December last year, V created his official Instagram. His account recorded 1 million followers after only 43 minutes and 10 million followers after 4 hours and 52 minutes, setting two ‘Guinness World Records’ and making him one of the world’s most powerful Instagram stars.

V, who set a record of 20 million ‘likes’ that only 10 people around the world have, ranked 16th in the all-time Instagram ‘Like’ ranking. V is the only Asian celebrity who made it to the top 20.

V recently added one more 19-million-like post, making him the first Asian celebrity to have three 19-million-like posts on Instagram. V’s influence on social media is unrivaled, as the 4 most-liked posts by Asians are all V’s.

From January to June, male idol accounts ranked first in terms of Instagram follower growth in Korea for six consecutive months, as well as first in the number of followers among Korean male idols. 

In the global influencer ranking of HypeAuditor, an influencer marketing company, the BTS member ranked 6th in the world, setting the highest record for Korean and Asian stars.

V surpassed top stars with hundreds of millions of followers such as Ronaldo, Kylie Jenner, and Messi to become the one with ‘the highest authentic Instagram engagement rate worldwide’.

In HypeAuditor’s music influencer ranking, he was ranked No. 2 in the world and No. 2 in the United States, showing off his tremendous popularity.
