Actor Kim Woo-bin returned as a “program” in “Alienoid” Part 2
On the morning of Nov 22nd, the press conference for the movie “Alienoid” Part 2 (Director Choi Dong-hoon) was held at CGV I’Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Director Choi Dong-hoon and actors Ryu Jun-yeol, Kim Tae-ri, Kim Woo-bin, Yum Jung-ah, Jo Woo-jin, Kim Eui-sung and Jin Seon-kyu attended the event.
“Alienoid” Part 2 tells the story of humans and monks trying to save everyone by returning to the present while hidden secrets are revealed in the fierce battle for the new sword.
In Part 1, Kim Woo-bin played Guard, a supernatural being who manages and escorts alien prisoners. However, in Part 2, Kim Woo-bin transforms into a program named “Thunder” instead of Guard.
As Thunder has the ability to control time, CG acting was necessary.
Kim Woo-bin recalled the filming period, “Most of the scenes I appear in require CG. It was difficult at first because there’s a difference between what you see in front of you and what you don’t see.”
He expressed the confidence he gained through “Alienoid”, “The director and staff helped a lot. I received a lot of help. Now I have confidence that I can do any CG.“
To this, the host Park Kyung-lim joked “Is your face also CG? You look unrealistically handsome“, making Kim Woo-bin laugh and lower his head as if he was embarrassed.
Kim Woo-bin also hinted at his chemistry with Min Gae-in (Honey Lee). In Part 1, Min Gae-in showed interest in Guard’s appearance and followed him.
Regarding the love line with Honey Lee, Kim Woo-bin raised curiosity as he said, “I matched well with actress Honey Lee in Part 1. I have good memories of our chemistry. If you’re curious about that aspect, please watch Part 2 and check it out in the movie. I can tell you that the chemistry was really good.”
Director Choi Dong-hoon mentioned the importance of Honey Lee in Part 2, saying, “You might wonder why Honey Lee appears. She’s a modern-day character with a very important key.”
Meanwhile, “Alienoid” Part 2 will be released in January 2024.
