Starship reported a post threatening IVE’s Jang Won-young’s safety

On May 9th, Starship Entertainment announced via their official SNS, “Yesterday, a post threatening the safety of our artist, IVE’s Jang Won-young, was posted on a community forum. The post, which specified the date and time of the incident, has been reported to the police, and the police have initiated an investigation into the author of the post.“

They continued, “We have requested swift investigation and protection for the artist’s safety, and we plan to take legal action as soon as the identity of the individual is revealed. To ensure the safety of our artists, we have reinforced professional security personnel and are reevaluating security measures for their travel routes, the office building and accommodation.”

The agency emphasized, “We will enhance monitoring for any threats to our artists’ safety in the future and will respond vigorously and legally upon discovery. We will continue to do our best to protect the safety of our artists.“

Meanwhile, IVE, including Jang Won-young, released “IVE SWITCH” on April 29th and is currently promoting with the title track “HEYA”.
