Various Real Influencers Make Cameo Appearances in Netflix’s New Drama “Celebrity”

“Celebrity”, released on June 30th, is a Netflix series that depicts the glamorous and fierce real faces of celebrities who have entered the world where fame alone turns into money. 


Park Gyu Young plays the role of Seo Ari, the main character who becomes an influencer with 1.3 million followers overnight, starting from an ordinary office worker.

As the drama tells the stories of celebrities, actual influencers including actors, singers, YouTubers, dancers made special appearances. The recent special cast revealed by Netflix includes Glenn Check, Kiu Ssaem, Ginjo, Kim Jang Mi, Kim Hyun Jung, Suna, Nana Youngrong Kim, David McInnis, Director Pi, Park Jae Min, Bora, Song Kyung Ah, SSIN, Aiki and HOOK, Anna, Ahn Ye Won, Emma Beauty, Oh Young Ju, Oh Jin Taek, Yoon Ha Bin, LISABAE, Lee Sang Yoon, Lee Hye Sung, Lee Hye Joo, Jung Yoo Mi, Jung Hyuk, Jo Min Ho, Jo Yong Tae, Cha Hyun Seung, Choi Kwang Rok, Hong Ji Yoon, and Calary Girl A.


These actors, as well as YouTubers and influencers who are active in beauty, fashion, and other fields, are celebrities who easily surpass millions of followers when combined. 

The production team of “Celebrity”, led by director Kim Cheol Kyu, said, “We prepared a lot with a mindset of studying while looking for popular topics and figures used in the celebrity world, as well as terms commonly used in everyday life.” It was reported that they actively approached influencers and figures from the broadcasting and music industry through their actual presence on social media.


Netizens who watched “Celebrity” showed reactions such as “I was really surprised to see real celebrities appearing,” “I wonder what real celebrities thought while watching this drama.”

“Celebrity”, starring Park Gyu Young, Lee Chung Ah, Kang Min Hyuk, Lee Dong Gun, Jeon Hyo Sung, and others, is now streaming on Netflix.
