tvN’s dramas lineup for the first half of 2022 (ft. Jo Bo-ah, Shin Min-ah, Kim Tae-ri and more)
tvN has unveiled the lineup of 6 dramas that will be broadcast in the first half of 2022.
Below are summaries of 6 series to be released on the small screen in early 2022 by tvN.
1. Twenty Five, Twenty One
“Twenty Five, Twenty One” depicts the romance of young people, who called each other’s names for the first time and fell in love when they were 22 and 18, turned 25 and 21.
Kim Tae-ri plays Na Hee-do, who stands tall as a member of the fencing sabre national team despite many twists and turns that happened when the fencing team in her high school fell apart due to the IMF financial crisis.
Nam Joo-hyuk plays Baek Yi-jin, who becomes a reporter after living a tough life as the eldest son of a family that suffered from the IMF financial crisis.
2. Our Blues
“Our Blues” is a new work by screenwriter Noh Hee-kyung and is directed by Kim Kyu-tae. This is an omnibus drama that tells stories of people in Jeju Island at different stages (beginning, peak and end) of their lives.
The cast members are actors Lee Byung-hun, Shin Min-ah, Cha Seung-won, Kim Woo-bin, Lee Jung-eun, Han Ji-min, Uhm Jung-hwa, Kim Hye-ja, and Go Doo-shim.
3. Return
“Return” depicts stories about young sorcerers following God’s plan and experiencing love and growth. This is a new work written by Hong Sisters (Hong Jung-eun, Hong Mi-ran), who was behind the success of “Sassy Girl Chun-hyang”, “My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho”, “Hotel Del Luna”, etc. Director Park Joon-hwa, who was greatly loved for “Because This Is My First Life” and “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” will grab the megaphone for this drama.
Actors Jung So-min, Lee Jae-wook, Yoo Joon-sang, Joo Sang-wook, Oh My Girl Arin, NU’EST Hwang Min-hyun will appear in this series.
4. Kill Heel
“Kill Heel” is a drama that depicts the fierce world of home shopping. It centres around women surviving in a world of competition and power that involves show hosts with diverse personalities.
Actress Kim Ha Neul will play the role of Woo-hyun, a fashion home shopping host. She has a good performance record due to her friendly image, but she’s worried that she’s in a stagnant situation.
5. Military Prosecutor Doberman
Starring Jo Bo-ah and Ahn Bo-hyun, “Military Prosecutor Doberman” (directed by Jin Chang-gyu) is about Do Bae-man, who became a military prosecutor for money. After meeting Cha Woo-in, a military prosecutor who chose the job for revenge, Do Bae-man overcomes the black and rotten evils in the army and becomes a true military prosecutor.
6. Joseon Psychiatrist Yoo Se-poong
“Joseon Psychiatrist Yoo Se-poong” (directed by Park Won-guk) tells the story of Yoo Se-poong, a well-known psychiatrist who becomes a true doctor after getting caught up in a royal conspiracy and being kicked out of the palace. The work’s cast lineup is currently undecided.
