Tomorrow and other Korean dramas in the first half of 2022 have high value despite low ratings

My Liberation Notes is a healing drama that has a quite slow and boring beginning. The drama tells the story of three siblings in a family who always want to escape their boring life. My Liberation Notes did not receive any attention for its first few episodes but thanks to its healing but attractive plot, the drama quickly became well-known to many K-drama fans.
The initial rating of My Liberation Notes was only 2%, then it increased to 6.7% and the average rating was 4%. The ratings are not too high but the drama itself contains a lot of meaning. In addition to a good script, the acting of the cast with Kim Ji Won, Son Seok Gu, Lee Min Ki, Lee El… has made a great contribution to the success of My Liberation Notes.
Tomorrow (Kim Hee Sun, Rowoon, Lee Soo Hyuk)
Tomorrow depicts a more distressing aspect of modern society. The drama follows the formation of a crisis team by the gods of death to save those who are on the verge of death. Despite the fact that Tomorrow’s rating declined dramatically after the first week, only reaching 3.4 percent in the final episode, the drama’s content and meaning nevertheless touched the audiences.

Bloody Heart (Jang Hyuk, Lee Joon, Kang Han Na)
Bloody Heart is the work that marks Kang Han Na‘s first time playing a female lead and she did a great job in portraying her character’s personality. The drama tells the story of the emperor Lee Tae (played by Lee Joon) with the determination to become a real king. This emperor had to go through a lot of ups and downs. Bloody Heart only had a 5-6 percent rating when it first aired on KBS, but after reaching its climax in this episode, the rating has risen to 8-8.9%, indicating that the drama’s attractiveness has grown significantly.
The previous historical dramas of KBS all had ratings of above 10%, so Bloody Heart could not be considered successful. However, with an IMDb score of 8.9, we have already seen how highly rated the drama is.
Insider (Kang Ha Neul, Lee Yoo Young)
Featuring a collaboration between Kang Ha Neul and Lee Yoo Young, Insider‘s content revolves around Kim Yo Han. After secretly investigating an important person, he was suddenly pushed into prison. Falling to the bottom of his life made Kim Yo Han determined to take revenge. After the first 4 episodes, Insider’s rating only fluctuated between 2.6% and the highest was 3.3%.
However, the film still received a lot of praise for the compelling storyline and amazing acting skills of Kang Ha Neul.
