SM’s New Boy Group RIIZE to Debut with First Single ‘Get a Guitar’ on September 4th

RIIZE, the highly anticipated rookie boy group from SM Entertainment in 2023, will release their debut music on September 4th.

On August 7th, SM Entertainment stated, “RIIZE’s first single ‘Get a Guitar’ will be released on September 4th, and pre-order has started today at various online and offline music stores.”

Notably, this single is themed around the time the members spent together preparing for their debut. It includes the title track ‘Get a Guitar’ and the prologue single ‘Memories,’ which will be released on August 21st, marking the beginning of RIIZE’s unique genre, “Emotional Pop.”

Furthermore, RIIZE unveiled the “Realtime Odyssey” timeline designed with a guitar chord concept through the promotional page and official social media accounts revealed on August 7th. This timeline includes various content release schedules related to their debut album, unveiling the debut countdown, and hinting at major post-debut activities.

Surprisingly, a ‘Siren Performance Video’ was also released on SMTOWN’s YouTube channel, allowing viewers to catch a glimpse of the members’ intense dance performances and their harmony. This video amplifies the curiosity about the chemistry that Riize will bring forth in the future.

RIIZE, a name formed by combining “Rise,” meaning ‘to grow,’ and “Realize,” meaning ‘to achieve,’ encapsulates the meaning of a team that grows together and strives to achieve dreams. Comprising seven members—Shotaro, Eunseok, Sungchan, Wonbin, Seunghan, Sohee, and Anton—RIIZE embodies this spirit of growth and realization.
