“Single’s Inferno” Choi Si-hoon explained the “host bar” rumors and talked about his passion for acting
Choi Si-hoon, who appeared in “Single’s Inferno”, talked about the rumors claiming that he had worked in a host bar.
After participating in Netflix’s dating entertainment show “Single’s Inferno”, Choi Si-hoon gained many fans not only in Korea but also in foreign countries. He recently showed off new charms through YOURVIBES photoshoots on February 16th.
Choi Si-hoon, who impressed the viewers with his “pure man” image and his consistent affection for Song Ji-ah in “Single’s Inferno”, boasted his boyish appearance in new photoshoots. With Choi Si-hoon’s relaxed poses under the warm light, the set of picturesque pictorials was completed.
In the interview that followed the photoshoot, Choi Si-hoon recalled the time when he filmed “Single’s Inferno” and said, “I really wanted to enjoy the situation on the Hell Island 100%. Since we were trapped there, I was completely immersed in the show”. Regarding the reason behind his unexpected final choice, Choi Si-hoon shared, “Since I didn’t force myself to join the show for a real relationship, I thought I did the right thing in choosing my favorite person”. Mentioning his dating experience in real life, he added, “My last relationship happened a long time before ‘Single’s Inferno’, and I haven’t been in any relationship since the show ended”.
Choi Si-hoon also mentioned the rumors that emerged as a hot topic in relation to “Single’s Inferno”. He said, “As the photos of when I was doing a part-time job were spread around online, I was misunderstood as a host bar host”. (“Host bar hosts” are men who are sponsored by rich female clients)
Choi Si-hoon firmly explained, “I lived my life properly. I used to work part-time at a convenience store and do various other things, but I have never done anything bad”, adding, “Since I wanted to become an actor, I worked hard and earned 2 million won in two years. Therefore, I really hated being ridiculed for the hard time that I endured”.
“It has been 5 years since I challenged acting after making a decision that I would act even when I get starved to death”, Choi Si-hoon confessed. He then showed his passion for the job of an actor, saying, “I risked my life on acting. I have nothing to lose so I’m not afraid of anything”. Lastly, he said, “Even after receiving attention on ‘Single’s Inferno’, I still consider myself as a rookie actor and need to show more performances step by step”, adding, “My role model is actor Park Jung-min. My wish for this year is to meet a work that could help me step one step forward as an actor”.
