“Shut The F*ck Up”, GOT7’s BamBam Replies to Accusations of Sexualizing Minors
BamBam of GOT7 has gotten fed up with false accusations about himself, leading to a recent scathing remark.
Recently, GOT7’s BamBam and NCT’s Jeno both went viral for going half-naked at their concerts. However, a netizen claimed that “Jeno did it better” in a post about BamBam, leading to GOT7 fans expressing their anger and calling said netizen out.
The netizen, who has since deleted their posts, then continued to slander BamBam, even accusing the male idol of “sexualizing minors”.
Normally, such a slander would only cause some arguments among fans, but this time, BamBam directly responded, saying, “How about you stfu?” (How about you shut the f*ck up?).
The “sexualizing minors” accusation is likely rooted from a February 2023 episode of BamBam’s YouTube show “Bam’s House”, where BamBam mentioned that he has been a fan of aespa’s Winter and NewJeans’ Haerin.
Later in the video, BamBam was asked to pick between Transit Love’s Nayeon and NewJeans’ Haerin, to which he initially chose Haerin but stopped himself since the female idol was “too young”.
As Haerin was only 16 years old at the time, BamBam’s remarks about her led to mixed opinions from netizens, as some of them find the male idol’s liking towards Haerin “inappropriate”. However, fans defended BamBam, stating that the translations were wonky and BamBam actually never referred to the younger idols in any inappropriate way.
After this controversy, BamBam himself spoke up, asking fans to not believe a 10-second video. It seems that the male idol has been fed up with the “sexualizing minors” accusation ever since, leading to his recent scathing response.
On the other hand, the netizen that accused BamBam has got their account suspended.
