Shin Jae Ha: A multi-talented actor awaiting his time to shine 

Shin Jae Ha’s acting performance on “Crash Course in Romance” has drawn much attention to the actor.

Athletic and academic prodigy turned actor 

Shin Jae Ha was an academic prodigy who was in the top 1.2% of the mock national entrance exam. In the beginning, Shin Jae Ha planned to carry out his study in a foreign language university but had second thoughts after watching a musical play. To pursue his acting dream, Shin Jae Ha enrolled in Dankook University, department of Performing Arts and Theater.

Shin Jae Ha is also gifted in sports. He was once an ice hockey player and was good at other sports such as skiing, fencing and golfing at the same time. Yet, it is clear that it was his acting aspiration that prevailed. 

A rookie actor in search of his spotlight 

Shin Jae Ha officially debuted as an actor in 2014 through the movie “Set Me Free” starring Choi Woo Shik. Despite playing a supporting role, Jae Ha managed to leave a strong impression with his performance on-screen and was called a “monster rookie.” He boasted great acting synchronization with Choi Woo Shik and kept a good friendship with him.

Shin Jae Ha also took part in many hot series such as “While You Were Sleeping” as Jung Jae Chan’s (Lee Jong Suk) brother and “Prison Playbook” as Kim Min Sung, a bright prisoner who was sent to prison after a fatal car accident. In the drama series “Page Turner,” he captured a wonderful chemistry with Kim So Hyun.

After 9 years of taking on diverse roles, the actor is still looking for breakthrough leading roles and potentially ones in a period drama, a genre he has not had a chance to try. 

A friend to top stars and a man of good deeds

Apart from his acting repertoire, Shin Jae Ha also boasts a close friendship with Lee Jong Suk and Jung Jae In. This friend trio collaborated in “While You Were Sleeping” and grew closer almost right away. They frequently hung out in groups of three and took photos with one another. 

Moreover, as a person with the rare RH- blood type that only accounts for 10 to 15% of world population, Shin Jae Ha frequents blood donating services to help those in need of his blood type.
