On August 10th, Judge Kim Jung Ki of the Seoul Southern District Court’s Criminal Division 7 held a sentencing trial for Ravi and 8 others on various charges, including violating the Military Service Act.

Nafla was also said to have evaded military service thanks to his agency GROOVL1N CEOs. He reportedly attempted to get determined as a social service worker because of worsened depression symptoms.

In April, the prosecution requested a 2-year imprisonment for Ravi and a 2.5-year imprisonment for Nafla. A prison sentence of two years was also demanded for Co-CEO B.

According to the prosecution’s indictment, Ravi received a scenario from A and acted as if he had fainted to undergo an examination at the hospital. Later in 2021, Ravi submitted a medical certificate to the Military Manpower Administration with a diagnosis of epilepsy. A was revealed to have sent Ravi a message, saying “Good, you already got a military service exemption.”

Ravi then apologized, saying “I sincerely apologize to all the people who were hurt by my actions and to fans who have supported me as someone who is more than just a singer for a long time. I felt like I had ruined all the memories we had together.”

In addition, Song Deok Ho (real name Kim Jung Hyun), who also attempted to evade military service in the same way, was sentenced to one year in prison with two years of probation, and ordered to complete 80 hours of community service
