Actress Kim Min-ha won two awards “Beyond Cinema Award” and “Rising Star Award”.
The 8th Asia Star Awards, held on Oct 7th, is an awards ceremony organized by fashion magazine Marie Claire and hosted by the Busan International Film Festival. Kim Min-ha won Beyond Cinema Award at the awards ceremony where Asian filmmakers gathered together.
Beyond Cinema Award, which was newly established this year, is awarded to actors who played an active role in popular works released through various platforms such as online video streaming platforms. Kim Min-ha, who captivated viewers around the world with Apple TV+’s “Pachinko”, proved her global popularity by winning her first award.
Kim Min-ha drew attention by expressing sincere gratitude towards her character “Sunja” and viewers who loved this character, “Thank you for giving me such a good award. I want to dedicate this award to Sunja and viewers around the world, who made me come this far.”
In addition, Kim Min-ha won Rising Star Award at the 2022 Asia Contents Awards, an awards ceremony for excellent TV, OTT and online contents across Asia, including Korea, on Oct 8th. She said, “I’m so proud and touched to be here thanks to ‘Pachinko’, the work in which I starred. I’ll do my best to deliver many good stories with a wide spectrum in the future.”
Kim Min-ha quickly caught the attention of people around the world and became a global trending actress with her attractive mask and high-quality acting skills in Apple TV+’s “Pachinko”.
