Mnet included a sexually harassing comment in “Boys Planet” trainee Yoon Jong Woo’s fancam

Mnet faced criticism after selecting a sexually harassing comment for a now-deleted video of “Boys Planet” trainee Yoon Jong Woo.

On April 19th, Mnet uploaded compilation videos of fancams with positive fans’ comments for the Top 18 trainees of the survival show “Boys Planet”. 

In the video for trainee Yoon Jong Woo, netizens were shocked to discover that Mnet had included a sexually harassing comment written in English.

The comment read, “Oh my gosh, Jongwoo’s b*lge bouncing so crazy here. I’m gonna faint.“

Upon finding out the comment, fans and netizens took to Twitter to express their shock and criticize Mnet for including such an inappropriate comment:

• “Why would they put that comment?”
• “It’s a sexualizing comment. Do a better job Mnet.”
• “I have no words. This is weird and disrespectful.”
• “Mnet needs to hire an English-speaking staff.”

After the comment was brought to Mnet’s attention by fans, Mnet has since deleted the original video and re-uploaded a new one for Yoon Jong Woo.
