Lee So Jung appears with shockingly changed appearance after 7 years, Dr. Oh Eun Young recommends prioritizing treatments
Actress Lee So Jung returned with a completely different look after seven years and asked Dr. Oh Eun Young for help.
On August 21st, Lee So Jung, who is running a Japanese restaurant in Pyeongtaek with her husband after getting married, appeared on MBC’s “Oh Eun Young’s Report: Marriage Hell” and asked for help.
Lee So Jung made her debut in 2006 as a model then played supporting roles in various dramas, such as “Tazza”, “High Kick Through the Roof”, “Dream”, “The Virus”, etc. However, she has not carried out any acting activities since her last work “Happy Home” was released 7 years ago.
Lee So Jung, who even won the AMA Asian Model Star Award at the 2015 Luxury Brand Model Awards with her tall height and beautiful visual, surprised everyone with her skinny appearance and empty eyes. Revealing her whereabouts, she confessed, “I drink about six bottles of beer a day. I spend almost every day like that”.
Lee So Jung’s husband shocked everyone as he shared, “Three months ago, my wife fell in the bathroom while being drunk and broke her shoulder bones. So she had to undergo surgery. However, two days before the hospital let her go home, she was caught drinking alcohol at a restaurant in front of the hospital so they kicked her out of the hospital”.
In addition, Lee So Jung is known to have taken many medications for panic disorder, bipolar disorder, trembling conditions when necessary, and insomnia. Among them, she took the medication that was marked “when necessary” because she had experienced seizure symptoms six times.
Lee So Jung explained, “All those problems occurred after I met my husband. It’s not because of him, but the timing was like that”, adding “I don’t know what I should live for. Whenever I sleep, I wish I wouldn’t wake up the next day.” Oh Eun Young looked at Lee So Jung’s changed appearance and exclaimed, “I think you guys are the most depressed couple I’ve met on this program”.
In particular, Lee So Jung revealed how she was abused by her family in the past. She said, “My mom secretly got married in the US while my father is a mixed-race foreigner. My mother is ashamed of me for being mixed-race”. Explaining the reason she decided to get married after meeting her husband only twice, saying “I secretly registered our marriage without my mother knowing so she filed a lawsuit against me demanding 290 million won in compensation”.
She continued, “After studying in the UK and completing my first year of university in Canada, I secretly came to Korea against my mother’s wishes. Studying abroad was very challenging and I even suffered severe racial discrimination. I felt helpless and lonely but didn’t want to see my family”, adding “However, living in Korea was also difficult because my grandfather, who was a school principal, mistreated me since I’m my mother’s out-of-wedlock child. I was beaten by my mother and my uncles too much that there were bruises all over my body”.
Lee So Jung confessed, “Since I’ve never received care since my childhood, I hardly had any positive experiences. However, the first good treatment she received was when my husband spent three hours getting my favorite food”, adding “When I drink alcohol, my negative feelings also disappear”.
