Actress Lim Ji Yeon revealed that her ability to memorize lines is so good that she does not even need to bring the script to the set.
The online press conference of SBS’ Thursday drama “The Killing Vote” was held at 2 PM on August 10th. Actors Park Hae Jin, Park Sung Woong, Lim Ji Yeon and director Park Shin Woo attended and answered questions related to the production process and behind-the-scenes of “The Killing Vote”.
First of all, when asked about the story behind the casting, director Park Shin Woo mentioned, “It’s a work with a lot of twists and turns. I cast the actors through ‘connections’.” He expressed his affection by saying, “I met Lim Ji Yeon, who was my ‘one pick’ from 3 years ago, and eventually completed the work.” Host Park Kyung Lim asked Lim Ji Yeon if she knew about this. She caused laughter by honestly replying, “I heard a lot that I was his one pick throughout the filming.”
Afterwards, Park Kyung Lim asked Park Sung Woong about acting with Lim Ji Yeon. Park Sung Woong answered, “Since Ji Yeon’s role Joo Hyeon is related to the cyber investigation team (police), there were many lines to memorize. There are many scenes that need to be explained to us (actors), but she made no mistake.” He surprised everyone by adding, “Ji Yeon doesn’t bring the script to the set (because she memorized all the lines).“
However, immediately, Park Sung Woong made the scene a sea of laughter as he revealed, “Sometimes Ji Yeon borrows our script.” Lim Ji Yeon smiled shyly, saying, “There are times when I get confused.” Park Kyung Lim praised the easy-going Lim Ji Yeon, “She has a human charm.“
On the other hand, “The Killing Vote” follows a mysterious figure known as Gaetal, who conducts surveys via text message to decide whether to put certain vicious criminals to death, then murders them based on the results. “The Killing Vote” is SBS’ first Thursday drama, and episodes 1 and 2 will air continuously today (August 10th).
