Jeon Jong-seo’s film ‘Ballerina’ Ranks No.1 In Netflix’s Non-English Film Category

“Ballerina” by director Lee Chung-hyun topped Netflix’s non-English film rankings

According to “Netflix Top 10” revealed through Netflix’s official site on October 18th, “Ballerina” (directed by Lee Chung-hyun) topped the chart of non-English films with 14.7 million views in the week from the 9th to the 15th. The number of views was calculated by dividing the total viewing time by the film’s running time.


“Ballerina” depicts the story of Ok-joo (Jeon Jong-seo) tracking down the perpetrator who caused the death of her friend, a victim of digital sex crimes, and taking revenge. The film has a clear story and features impressive action scenes.

Three days after its premiere on the 6th, the film became viral and entered Top 10 in 62 countries, including South Korea.

As of the 18th, “Ballerina” has entered Top 10 in 89 countries, including Canada, France, Germany, Italy, and Japan.
