IVE proves to be a music powerhouse, still 1st place in various music charts with “After LIKE”
Rookie girl group IVE’s latest song “After LIKE” shows a strong sense of longevity, still top music charts against strong competitors.
According to IVE’s agency Starship Entertainment, IVE’s 3rd single “After LIKE”, which was released in August, still placed 1st on the Top 100 daily and weekly Melon charts as of 4 pm (KST) on September 21st.
On the music streaming platform Genie, IVE also ranked first on the daily chart for 24 days, and ahss topped the weekly chart for 3 weeks in a row. In Bugs, “After LIKE” also stands on top of the weekly chart (aggregation period September 12th to 18th).
On international platforms like YouTube Music, IVE is trending for both popular song and popular artist charts in the week of September 9th to 15th, and their newest single also ranked first on Korean music charts Vibe and Flo.
In addition, for the 37th week of Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart), “After LIKE” has topped both the digital and streaming charts for 2 weeks in a row. The single also sold a total of 1,111,177 physical copies according to Hanteo, achieving a new career high.
Moreover, IVE’s popularity can be confirmed via various parodies of the group’s music on social media. Particularly, several expressions quoting the lyrics “You know what my strength is? It’s that I’m honest” from “After LIKE” have been circulating, and the parody response “You know what my strength is? It’s that I’m number one” has gone viral.
On the other hand, IVE has concluded their 4-week promotion for “After LIKE” and will be active in various fields in the future, including music festival performances.
