IU and Lee Jong Suk, who are in a relationship, have both been drawing attention for their unique phobias.
On April 3, IU talked with her close friend, actress Yoo In Na, on her YouTube channel. When asked about the “longest phone call,” Yoo In Na immediately shouted “three minutes” as the answer.
IU then confessed, “I find it very difficult to make phone calls. Even when talking to my mom, I can’t sit still and talk. If someone calls me, I feel uncomfortable. Before that, Lee Jong Suk had also confessed to having a unique phobia. He revealed on a TV show that he has a “gaze phobia.” When he is being watched, his heart races and he feels short of breath. “If more than seven people pay attention to me, my face gets hot,” he said.
In fact, Lee Jong Suk has shown discomfort on stage at drama production press conferences and movie events, and especially when he won his first Daesang at the MBC Entertainment Awards, he was unable to speak due to his phobia.
Lee Jong Suk also said that he used to avoid crowded places due to his introverted personality when he was young. However, he revealed that he does not feel any phobia when filming because of his strong desire to become an actor.
