Lee Mu Jin asked Miyeon, “When was the first time you got interested in singing?” In response, Miyeon said, “I just listened to different songs when I was young. I thought I wanted to sing, too”, adding, “So I would record my singing on a computer when my parents weren’t home!

Lee Mu Jin continued, “When was the first time you started recording?” Miyeon replied, “I was in elementary school. I used them for the auditions”.

The (G)I-DLE member also told an anecdote that she passed the YG audition. “For the first audition, I sent the files, my pictures, and videos online,” adding, “I actually passed the audition and went up to the 3rd audition!

She continued, “So I was like ‘I have to make it this time’ and waited for the final result. However, when she heard that an acquaintance at the company passed, she knew she was eliminated. Therefore, “I didn’t want to miss out on this chance so I went to the office”. She added, “I didn’t think I would make it to the 3rd audition if I tried again”.

In response to the situation, Miyeon recounted meeting the boss at the company, “I met the boss. I met the owner of the company and I went to see him and gave him a new CD”. Everyone at the studio was surprised, including Lee Mu Jin.

Even though her first time as a trainee was not successful, Miyeon still made use of this moment on air and said, “But boss, I made it!”, adding, “Are you watching this?”

In the past, Miyeon is known to be a trainee at YG Entertainment for about four years. At that time, she was in training along with BLACKPINK Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé. Five of them even took a photo together, drawing attention.
