Han Seo Hee claimed a lack of solid evidence at her 3rd drug trial, to receive her sentence on Jan 13th next year
Han Seo Hee pleaded the court to reverse her prison sentence regarding her 3rd drug charge. The prosecution countered that Han should be sentenced to 1 year and 6 months.
On the morning of Dec 14th, Han Seo Hee attended the trial regarding her violation of the Narcotics Control Act held under the supervision of the 3rd Criminal Division of the Eastern District Court in Seoul. Han Seo Hee, who is currently in prison, appeared in a black costume instead of a prison uniform. Han Seo Hee answered the court that she was unemployed.
In the first trial, Han Seo Hee was sentenced to six months in prison for taking methamphetamine at an officetel in Jungnang-gu, Seoul, and both the prosecution and Han Seo Hee appealed.
The prosecution insisted the sentence given to Han Seo Hee was too light. The prosecution demanded a one-and-a-half-year sentence for Han Seo Hee, which was the same as the sentence sought in the original trial.
Han Seo Hee’s side requested that the original trial’s ruling be canceled because Han’s crime was not proven by solid evidence. Han Seo Hee’s lawyer said, “Han Seo Hee is living an exemplary prison life and is seriously reflecting on herself. Please have mercy on her.”
Han Seo Hee, who appealed, did not say much in her final statement.
The sentence against Han Seo Hee will be announced in the same court at 10 a.m. on January 13th, 2023.
